ALBERT J. TOVISSI

Albert J. Tovissi, 88, of Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully the morning of February 15, 2024. He was born in Canton, Ohio on January 26, 1936, to the late Irene (Sage) and Louis Tovissi. Also preceding Albert in death were brothers, Alfred, his twin, Lewis, Elmer, and Joe; sisters-in-law, Stephanie and Carol; nieces, Debbie and Leslie.

He was devoted to his family and will be missed by his loving wife, Auldine; sons, Michael, Douglas (Lisa), Richard (Shawnery); grandsons, Richie and Henry; granddaughter, Piper; nephews, Jeff (Shannon), David (Johna), Steve (Cheryl); nieces, Sandra (Joe), Christine (Hank); many great nieces and nephews; and many very special friends whom he treasured.

Albert was employed in the steel industry for many years, working for Republic Steel and Republic Storage Systems and was also employed with Macomber Inc. A humble man, he always put the needs of others first and exemplified the importance of kindness, compassion, and honesty. He was a proud United States Army Veteran, as well as a five-gallon blood donor, Two of Albert's favorite hobbies were fishing and McKinley High School sports.

Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Monday, February 19, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Lamiell Funeral Home, 1353 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Canton, where the service for Albert will begin at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens, 7920 Frank Avenue, NW, N. Canton.
