Alphonso Restivo

Alphonso Restivo of Canton, Ohio passed away July 28, 2025 at the age of 79. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio on February 16, 1946, to parents, Dominic and Mary (Cervello) Restivo, who preceded him in death, together with his sisters, Donna Marciano and Joanne Simari.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 30 years, Charmaine (Hanood) Restivo; his children and grandchildren; and brother, Joseph (Michele) Restivo.

He was a 1964 Ursuline High School graduate and attended Youngstown State University. Alphonso enlisted in the United States Air Force, proudly serving his country during the Viet Nam era and was stationed in Thailand. A patriot through and through, he had a deep love for his country and fellowman. He welcomed the call of duty to serve and protect. After returning home, he worked as a manager for the postal service and retired with 34 years of service. His next journey was earning his CDL driving semi-trucks for various companies for 15 years. Alphonso loved anything military related, golfing, family, and music.
