Amedio Mario “Mike” Bernardino

Amedio Mario "Mike" Bernardino, age 98 of North Canton passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016. Mike retired from Superior Switchboard and Devices. Following retirement, Mike launched his second career. He was a successful salesman of insurance, mutual funds and cemetery monuments. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the North Canton Eagles and Elks. He was a World War II Army veteran. Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Emily; his children Michael (Joan), Janet (Dwight) and Joan (Steve); his grandchildren Colin (Natalie) and Farrah (Fred); his great grandchildren Peter, Philip, Gia and Remy. The family is extremely grateful to all the individuals from Hospice and the Compassionate Care Center, who cared for Mike. Their kind words and deeds brought peace and comfort to Mike and his family. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 2, 2016, from 10am-11am at Christ the Servant Parish followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am with Monsignor Lewis Gaetano as celebrant. Burial to follow at the North Canton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Aultman Hospice Program, 2821 Woodlawn Avenue NW, Canton, OH 44708.
