Amy L. Johnson

April 10, 1991 — October 5, 2022

Amy L. Johnson, 31, of Cincinnati went to her heavenly home on October 5, 2022. Born on April 10, 1991 in Canton, Ohio to Paul and Linda Johnson. Amy graduated from GlenOak High School in 2009 and from the University of Cincinnati, with a degree in Biology in 2022.

She is survived by her parents, brother Phillip Johnson (Amanda), sister Lisa Patton (John), nieces Lucy, Juniper, and Geneva, nephew Noah, and her dogs Bella and Bailey.

Amy proudly served her country in the U.S. Navy from 2013 to 2018 as part of the Coastal Riverines in San Diego. She served two tours in the Middle East. Her time in the military gave her much pride and joy, along with lasting memories and friendships.

Amy's heart was full of kindness and empathy – always willing to help those around her. She loved all animals, but dogs and gorillas had a special place in her heart. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking trips with family and friends. Her dogs were like children to her, and she enjoyed taking them on walks and to dog parks. Amy's infectious laugh filled the room. She loved movies and quoting lines even more. Since moving back to Ohio in 2020, she made an effort to spend time with family, especially her nieces and nephew. She was strong and brave. She was a survivor. Amy will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

"Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Philippians 1:6
