Anastasia (Fur) Bosyj, age 94, died Sunday 22 years to the day of her husband's death. Born in Stefkova, Ukraine, she had lived in Canton since 1949 and was retired employee of Stark County. She was a former member of Saint Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church and currently Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Mykola "Nick" Bosyj, brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Catherine Fur and a son-in-law, Russell Bandurka. Survived by her daughter, Maria Bandurka of Louisville, two sons and daughters-in-law, Nick Bosyj of Charlotte, North Carolina and Mary Bosyj of Canton and John and Karen Bosyj of North Canton, seven grandchildren, Ann Slagle, Paul (Michelle) Bandurka, Teresa (Robert) Stubblefield, Stephanie (Brad) Butler, Michael Bosyj, Rachel (Mark) Jenney and Jason Bosyj and seven great-grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Saint George Romanian Catholic Cathedral with Father Vsevolod Shevchuk as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
