Anita R. Moore

Anita R. Moore, age 90, of Canton, Ohio passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 16, 2020, surrounded by family. She was born on May 2nd, 1930 in Pinegrove, West Virginia to the late Thelma E. and George Mayfield. She was married 63 years to the love of her life, the late Wilbur 'Pete' Moore. She was a member of Greenwood Christian Church. Some of her favorite passions include; baking, sewing, gardening and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Joe and Paula (Taylor) Moore of Orlando, FL., Paula and Ed Romano of Minerva, Marc and Paula (Ebey) Moore of Canton, Lorraine and Jerry Wilson of Ocala, FL., and Brenda and Keith Johnson of Canton. She was dearly loved and known as Grandma, Memaw Anita or Nana Deta by her twelve grandchildren, Stephanie and Jason Mueller, Joey and Karla Moore, Melanie Moore, Brandy Allbritain, Trevor and Trina Romano, Marc and Jamie Moore, Keanon Romano, Kyle and Liz (Miller) Johnson, Brenna and Joe Michel, Torrey and Daniel Hogan, Kylynn Johnson and Monty Wilson. She also enjoyed her 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. The family would like to thank the staff and friends at Bethany Nursing for their outstanding care, love and support. Anita was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Due to the surrounding conditions of Covid-19 a private service will be held for the family on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Lamiell Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Greenwood Christian Church.
