Anna Marie Gower

Anna Marie Gower, age 75, died Wednesday after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, she had lived in Stark County most of her life. Anna Marie was a graduate of Robert Morris University and had worked at Babcock and Wilcox (Alliance) and Kent State University. She was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church and Compassionate Friends. Survived by her husband of 51 years, Charles Gower, sons, Matthew (Kelly) Gower of Canton, Brian (Rebekah) Gower and Brad Gower both of North Canton, grandchildren, Alexandria "Lexie", Nicholas and Samantha Gower and brother, Ronald (Kearney) Vrabel of New Jersey. Preceded in death by a son, Mitchell Gower, parents, Stephen and Anna Vrabel, sister, Kathleen Sieradski and brother, Matthew Stephen Vrabel. Family and friends will meet on Monday at 11 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with Father Leo Wehrlin as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Little Flower Catholic Church.
