Barbara Jean (Bogdan) Kast

Barbara Jean (Bogdan) Kast, age 86, of Louisville passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, February 25th. She was born in Jackson, Michigan where she was a 1953 graduate of St. Mary's High School. After high school, she attended Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Barbara had been a Louisville resident most of her life and was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church. She was predeceased by her husband Cletus J. Kast II. She is survived by six sons — Cletus (Carol) Kast III of Ontario, Ohio; Mark (Denise) Kast of Jackson Twp.; Michael Kast of Louisville; James (Caroline) Kast of Alliance; Robert Kast of Louisville; and William (Amy) Kast of Hilliard, Ohio. She also has three daughters — Sue Kast of Louisville; Carole (Peter) Brannan of Dallas, Texas; and Jeanne (David) Pereira de Almeida of Cary North Carolina. In addition, she is survived by twenty-one grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one brother Gerald (Diane) Bogdan of Jackson, Michigan; and her cousin Dolores and (Frank) Kinn of Fostoria, Ohio. Family and friends will meet on Thursday at 11am in St. Louis Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with Father Robert Miller as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery.
