Barbara Kay (Sexton) Kirby

Barbara Kay (Sexton) Kirby, age 77 of North Canton went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 28, 2017. Barbara was born on November 10, 1939 in Canton to the late John and Bernice (Zerbe) Sexton. Barbara was a 1957 graduate of Canton South High School, where she was a majorette. She was a secretary through the years at Canton South Schools, The Canton Chamber of Commerce and then retired from the North Canton Schools in 1999. She was a member of the 11th Street Church of God. She enjoyed traveling and camping during her retirement years. Survived by her husband of 56 years, Todd R. Kirby, three wonderful children and their spouses, Kristen and Paul Ousley of Massillon, Tanya and Mark Blatt of Zanesville and Doug and Michelle Kirby of Perry Township, seven loving grandchildren, Matthew and Hunter Ousley, Taylor, MaKenna and Austin Blatt and Jordyn and Ryan Kirby and several cousins. The family would like to thank Patti and Chris from Aultman Hospice and the staff at Windsor Medical Center for caring for our loved one like you would your own family. Thank you for doing what you do on a daily basis, it does matter and is very much appreciated. Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. in the Lamiell Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Shafer officiating. Burial will be in North Canton Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 9-10 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Aultman Hospice or the charity of your choice.
