Barbara J. Mikstay

Barbara J. Mikstay, age 80, passed on to her loving Jesus on Thursday, August 4, 2016. She was a life resident of Canton and retired from Bethany Nursing Home. Barb was the "Donut Lady" and a Eucharistic Minister at the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist for years. Preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Elizabeth Mikstay, three sisters, Mary Di Marzio, Irene Crilley and Betty Davis and two brothers, Joseph and Steve Mikstay. Survived by two brothers, John (Virginia Mikstay and Jim (Doris) Mikstay, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews and beloved dog, Lizzie. We would like to thank her niece, JoAnn Di Marzio for all her love and care for the past 15 years and all the people who's gentle hands cred for her. Rest in peace Aunt Barb – we love you. Family and friends will meet on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist for a Mass of Christian Burial with The Very Reverend Ronald Klingler as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Grace Hospice or the Stark County Humane Society.
