Barbara J. (Nommay) Marracino, 75, completed her final earthly journey on February 3 at Aultman Compassionate Care Center in Canton. Born February 15, 1944 at Mercy Hospital in Canton Ohio, Barbara was a graduate of Lehman High School and Heidelberg College.
Barbara worked as a copywriter for various companies including Lazarus. She was an avid reader, bridge player, cat lover, and collector of the unusual. Her smile and laughter are unforgettable. Barbara lived life in her own special way. She and her husband Larry resided in Pittsburgh for many years before moving back to North Canton.
She is preceded in death by husband Larry Marracino, and parents Catherine Roudebush Nommay and Albert Nommay. Survived by cousin Ann (William) Borst of Arlington Heights, Illinois and special friends Lori and Al Perry of Canton, Nancy Ziesmer of North Canton, Beverly Bellinger of Kansas City, Missouri, and her beloved cat, Amazing Grace.
Barbara was especially fond of the staff and residents at Sanctuary Grande in North Canton, where she made her home. Gratitude is extended to Aultman Hospice and the Aultman Compassionate Care Center where she was treated with dignity and loving kindness during her final days.
