Betty J. (Becker) Yelichek

Betty J. (Becker) Yelichek, age 91, died Saturday after a long illness. She was a life resident of Canton, 1945 graduate of McKinley High School, retired from Harter/Society Bank and was a member of Christ the Servant Parish. Preceded in death by her husband, George Yelichek. Survived by her daughters, Cynthia Yelichek, Carol "Cookie" (Jerry) Romary and Jane (Jerry) Mahaffey, son, George (Patricia) Yelichek, grandchildren, Chad (Michelle) Romary, Danielle (Jerry) Herzog, Tyler (Leah) Mahaffey, Erin (Russ) Hudkins, Lauren (Phillip) Armatas and George J. Yelichek and seven great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staffs of Bethany Nursing Home and Crossroads Hospice for their care. Family and friends may call Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at Christ the Servant Parish followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Monsignor Lewis Gaetano as celebrant. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Saint Jude Children's Hospital.
