Lewis
Oct 17, 1953 — Sep 5, 2026
Canton, Ohio
Brice built a long and memorable career in radio broadcasting, lending his voice, wit, and unmistakable presence to stations WHBC AM/FM, Clear Channel HOF, and WEOL/WBEA.
Brice Alan Lewis, age 72, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2026. Born in Richmond, Indiana on October 17, 1953, he was the son of the late Robert and Lucille (Ellis) Lewis.
Brice built a long and memorable career in radio broadcasting, lending his voice, wit, and unmistakable presence to stations WHBC AM/FM, Clear Channel HOF, and WEOL/WBEA. His love for radio was matched only by his love of learning—he was an avid reader, a devoted collector of fountain pens, and a man who delighted in good conversation.
He was a wonderful husband and a great dad, known for his sharp mind, his sarcastic sense of humor, and his ability to hold a pointed opinion on political leaders and current events. Brice’s humor was dry, quick, and unforgettable—he could make a room laugh with a single comment, and he often did. A lifelong Jimmy Buffett fan, he kept his Sirius radio faithfully tuned to the Buffett channel, finding joy in the music and the easygoing spirit it carried.
Brice is survived by his wife of 50 years, Tenley Orendorff; daughter, Channing Lewis; sister, Debbie Lewis; and good friend, Chris Scott. Preceding Brice in death were his dear friends, Glenn Mishler and Todd Cecil.
Brice’s humor was dry, quick, and unforgettable—he could make a room laugh with a single comment, and he often did.
In keeping with Brice’s wishes, there will be no visitation, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society, a charity that held special meaning for him.
Brice’s care has been entrusted to Lamiell Funeral Home, who is deeply honored to support the family with compassion and dignity.
The family welcomes condolences, memories, and stories at www.lamiellfuneralhome.com.
