Bruce A. Tresz

Bruce A Tresz, born Feb, 2, 1960 of Massillon passed away Sunday September 18, 2022 at the age of 62 at Woodlawn Compassionate Care Center surrounded by his family.

Preceded in death by his parents Martin and Wanda Tresz.

Survived by loving wife Beckie of 34 years, and son, Jacob, brother David (Theresa) Tresz, sister, Barb (Olen) Benson, and preceded in death by brother Mike Tresz, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bruce served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was honorably discharged as a LCPL. He had an associate degree In business. He worked at the US Post Office as a letter carrier until he retired in 2016. He also spent many years serving in the Civil Air Patrol, as a Lt. Colonel. Where he was a valued leader, teacher and aided in many search and rescue efforts.

Bruce was an airplane, train and space enthusiast that loved going to the air shows and museums with his family. He enjoyed spending holiday time with his family and friends. He loved having cook outs, and surprising his wife with home improvement projects while she was out of town. They lived on a large farm where he enjoyed farming, and taking care of the animals. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking, he also loved spending time with his friends hunting, fishing, and spending time around the fire.

He was a good husband, father, brother and friend that cherished every moment of his life with his family and friends. His memory will live on through his wife, son and family. The world lost a great man and Heaven gained an angel to watch over and protect his family and friends from above. Never far because he will always be in the hearts of those who loved him dearly.

A military service will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio, at a date to be determined.
