Catherine F. McIntosh (Kay) – 1/13/1939 – 12-13-2024

Kay was born in Chester, West Virginia, the youngest of twelve children, to the late Walter and Marie Carraher Wehner. Kay worked at Taylor Smith & Taylor Pottery in the gold lining department after high school, until she met and married the love of her life, Lewis (Lew) James McIntosh. They were married for 58 years until his passing in 2020. Kay was also preceded in death by her six sisters and four brothers.

The focus of Kay's life was her Catholic faith and her family. She is survived by children, Kevin (Christa) McIntosh of Wellsville and Suzanne "Sue" (Bob) Bertsch of North Canton; her three grandchildren, Katie (Todd) Wright, Emmalee (Matt) Stewarts, Sam (Stacey) McIntosh; her two great-grandchildren, Iris Wright and Theodore McIntosh; brother, Dudley (Anne) Wehner of Oregon, Wisconsin; sister-in-law, Yvonne Dotson of Wellsville, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

For countless years, she volunteered weekly at the soup kitchen ran by the Catholic church in the east end of East Liverpool, Ohio, volunteered at St. Aloysius Church folding bulletins or helping with food drives, clothing drives or whatever was asked of her.
The only thing she enjoyed as much as her volunteer work, was time with family. She attended band concerts and all types of sporting events over the years, to watch her children and then her grandchildren perform.

She certainly enjoyed the weekly Ruritan bingo nights that Lew called, and she played her two cards for every game and dinners at the Christian church in Wellsville with Lew and her sister-in-law, Yvonne Dotson.
She will be missed by all those that knew her, as she always had a smile on her face. Our family would like to thank the caring staff of Windsor Medical Center Colonies, which was her residence for over four years and Crossroads Hospice for their countless hours of service, caring, and love provided to Kay/Mom.
