Charlene E. "Peach" Bors, born March 27, 1951, in Canton, Ohio passed away at her home on Sunday, August 29th, 2021. She was preceded in death by her father Edward P. Schneider, M.D., mother and adoptive father Jeanie and John Andrew Walsh, brother Edward H. Walsh, nephew Chad T. Graham. Survived by husband Frank J. Bors III. Adult children Molly (Josh) Whitehead of Minerva, Ohio, and Andrew (Margot) Bors of Bolivar, Ohio. Grandsons Joseph, Maxwell, and Kaiden. Sister Gretchen (Dr. Thomas) Graham, brother John Michael (Pamela) Walsh all of Canton, Ohio. Numerous nieces, nephews, their families and all the kids she collected along the way.
Peach graduated Central Catholic High School and attended Kent State briefly. She lived for a time in California. She was a Behavior Interventionist for Stark County Educational Service Center for the past 20 years.
Peach was an avid reader and could rarely be found without a book in tow. She was an avid arts enthusiast with everything from visiting the Arts District in Canton, to museums, to the theatre, to music. She was a devoted wife and caregiver to her husband of over 35 years. A teacher and a friend to her students, and after being diagnosed with cancer was adamant that she would return to work. She was an original flower child believing in peace and love above all else. But the two titles she held dearer than any other was that of mother and grandma. Not just to her own kids but to every lost or wayward soul she encountered. People loved Peach because Peach loved everyone. She was not afraid to speak her mind and tell you her honest feelings, but you knew no matter what her door, her home, and her heart was always open if you ever needed a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen, or a mouth to tell you what is.
Friends may call Thursday September 2nd 2021 from 4pm to 6pm at Lamiell Funeral Home in Canton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made the Cleveland Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union. A celebration of life will follow at a later date.
