Charles R. Gower

Charles R. Gower, age 86, died Thursday. Born in Washington Township, PA, he had lived in North Canton since 1988. Charles was a graduate of the University of California in Pennsylvania, a retired teacher from East Canton High School and U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Preceded in death by his wife, Anna Marie Gower, son, Mitchell Gower and several brothers and sisters. Survived by his sons, Matt (Kelly) Gower, Brian (Rebekah) Gower and Brad Gower, grandchildren, Lexie, Nicholas and Samantha Gower and a sister, Agnes Williams. Service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Lamiell Funeral Home with Deacon Dennis Ross officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
