Charles Edward Vignos, age 68, died suddenly June 16, 2026, of a heart attack while driving his truck through Missouri. He was born in 1957, in Binghamton, NY, the son of Joseph and Patricia (Coyne) Vignos of Canton. After graduating high school in Stamford, CT, he joined the army and served as an MP. He later graduated from Florida State and was a longtime resident of Tallahassee.
Charlie grew up playing sports and was a big fan of the local Yankees and Mets. He also enjoyed a glass of fine wine and once worked as a sommelier at a Florida casino.
He is predeceased by his father and survived by wife, Christine (Kim); stepdaughter, Victoria; mother, Patricia; and brothers, Joseph Jr., David, and Brian. Visitation will be held at Lamiell Funeral Home, Canton, June 25, 2026 from 8:30 to 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist, Canton at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at St. John’s Cemetery, Canton.
