Cheryl Lynn Meister

August 17, 1954 — September 29, 2025

Cheryl Lynn (Horner) Meister

Born August 17, 1954 – Died September 29, 2025

Cheryl Lynn Meister, surrounded by her loving children, grandchildren, and devoted husband, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 29, 2025.

Born in Canton, Ohio, Cheryl met her true love, Tim, at the Canton Jewish Center in 1968. They married in 1971, embarking on a journey of unwavering love and partnership that lasted a lifetime.

Cheryl is survived by her beloved children: Ryan (Su), Todd, Allison (Michael), and Timothy. She was a proud grandmother to seven cherished grandchildren: Korina, Ryan Noelle, Gabriella, Gianna (Liloia), Jackson, and Emma.

Cheryl had a very strong faith and loved Jesus deeply. She often spoke about heaven, sharing her beliefs and inspiring those around her. Her greatest joy was nurturing her family, and she found immense happiness in sharing meals and creating lasting memories with her loved ones. After her children grew up, she became an activity director at St. Joseph Care Facility in Louisville, Ohio, where her warmth and compassion touched the lives of many.

She was always a phone call away from many in her community. Her friends, coworkers, family, relied on her advice and wisdom through their moments big and small. Cheryl was known to be there for others no matter when or what was needed. Helping the community was important to her values, participating in Meals on Wheels, Total Living Center, and donating to many charities.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents, Naomi and James Horner, and her in-laws, William and Margaret Meister.

To honor Cheryl's wishes, there will be no services. We ask for your prayers for our family at this very difficult time.

Lamiell Funeral Home, www.lamiellfuneralhome.com, has been entrusted with Cheryl's care and privileged in supporting the family during this tender time.
