DALE R. "DICK" HEFLIN

Dale R. "Dick" Heflin of Massillon, Ohio, passed away January 6, 2024, at the age of 87. Born in Canton, Ohio on July 13, 1936, he was born to parents, Dale and Doris (Huprich) Heflin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Virginia Johnson; infant granddaughter, Courtney Johnson; son, Dennis Heflin; sisters, Clara Neal Dickey and Helen Heflin; infant sister, Patty Heflin; and brother, Richard Heflin.

Dick, as he was known to all, was a lifelong resident of Stark County. He worked for the Timken Company and retired in 1987 from the St. Regis Paper Company, where he worked as a truck driver. Very community oriented, he was a member of the North Canton Eagles Ariel #2223, the Schiller Lodge #2, the Order Sons of Herman, and the Fairmount Children's Home Alumni.

His memory will forever be cherished by those who survive; wife, Rheta Heflin; daughters, Vickie (John) Sparrow, Doris "Dolly" Wenning, Annie Holbrook; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Cheryl Heflin, Diane Holmes; brothers, Donald Heflin, Scott Heflin, Mark Heflin; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, January 11, 2024, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Lamiell Funeral Home, 1353 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Canton, to share fond memories, stories, and reminisce about a life well lived.
