DANIEL M. HAREN

Daniel M. Haren, 74, passed away on July 30, 2024, and now rests in peace with his Lord and Savior Jesus. Dan was born February 25, 1950, to the late Harry and Marcella Haren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John; and two brothers-in-law, Mike Kline and Rick Kackley.

Dan was a devoted and loving husband to his wife of 49 years, Joann (Lidderdale) Haren. He was the proud father of Dan Haren Jr. and proud Papa to his grandchildren, Emily and Blane.

Dan leaves behind two sisters, Bonnie (Ray) Evans and Valerie Kline; and brother, Terry Haren. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, David (Lisa) Lidderdale, Terrie Shaheen, Karen (Bob) McDonald, Betty Kackley, Carol Lynne (Mike) Miday, and Joyce (Rock) Mellie. Dan was an uncle to many loving nieces and nephews; and a great friend to many.

Dan was a proud union member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 94 for 56 years. After his 5-year apprenticeship, he was an instructor for 10 years and served on several committees. He obtained a state inspectors license and was a member of the city of Canton Plumbing Executive Board. He worked for Standard Plumbing and Heating for 45 years. Dan was highly respected throughout the union trades and known as a fair and honest man.

Dan was a hardworking man, but he also loved to have fun., He enjoyed hunting, boating, camping, and hanging out at the pool with family and friends. He was a gardener, loved mowing the grass, and cooking on the grill (AKA the Grill Master). He loved living and was the life of the party. He is a part of countless fun memories. In his words, "had a great ride." Dan was faithful, generous and will be sorely missed by all who loved him.

A private Memorial Service will be held at Grace United Church of Christ. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Dan's life at Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 94 Event Center on August 11th at 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, per Dan's request, take your grandkids out to breakfast. If you wish to make a contribution in Dan's name, please consider the American Lung Association or a charity of your choice.
