Daniel J. Slusser

Daniel J. Slusser, age 72 died Thursday. He was a life resident of the Canton/Massillon area, Hoover High School graduate, retired from the Hoover Company after 35 years, member of the Northwest Church of Christ and a Vietnam War Army veteran. Dan enjoyed gardening, parties by his pool and the Cleveland Browns and Hoover Vikings. He is very much loved and missed by all. Preceded in death by his first wife, Joetta May Slusser. Survived by his wife, Mary Alice Slusser, sister Sharon Zastudil, nephew, Scott Zastudil, niece, Tiffany (Richard) Davis, great-niece, Amberly Neice, God sent son, Dustin McVicker, special daughter, Amber Adams and step-children, Shawnna Beyer, Amy (Shawn Wilcox) Scurlock, Danielle (Jamie Friend) Yost, Amanda (Gordon) Yost-Becker and Brian (Amanda) Yost. Services are private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Saint Jude Children's Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.
