March 14, 1949 — December 25, 2017

Danny L. Bowling, age 68, died Monday after a long illness. Born in Akron, he had lived in Canton most of his life, member of the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist and was a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran. Survived by his wife, Susan Bowling, sons, Christopher and Thomas Bowling, grandchildren, Angela, Sean and Lindsey Bowling, Robert and Timothy Griffith, Eric Braga, Alanie Woods and Cody, Catie and Chris Hastings, great-grandchildren, Jaelyn, Javon, Alexys, Logan and David, mother, Delores Burns, sisters, Geraldine Barrick, Linda Chafin and Gretta Fabian, brothers, David and Keith Bowling and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, Ralph Bowling, brothers, Ronald, Steven and Gary Bowling and step-father, Robert Burns. Family and friends will meet on Saturday at 12 Noon at the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist for a Mass of Christian Burial with Father Joseph Witmer as celebrant. Private burial will be in Saint John Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Aultman Compassionate Care Center.
