David G. Schenk
June 15, 1946 – October 13, 2024

David G. Schenk, age 78, born on June 15, 1946, in Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2024, at the Canton Regency, following a battle with rapidly progressing dementia.

David lived by the motto "Work hard, play hard," and embodied that adventurous spirit in all aspects of his life. He found joy in his 30-year career as an International Sales Manager at H-P Products, where his work took him on many global adventures. However, it was his passion for engines that truly defined him. Whether behind the wheel of a fast car, a boat slicing through the water, or a motorcycle on the open road, David found freedom and joy in anything that moved with power and speed.

David wasn't just an enthusiast; he was a father, teacher, guide, and friend. He loved sharing his passions, teaching countless friends and family how to water ski, snow ski, and fix anything in need of repair. He embraced life's simple pleasures and encouraged others to do the same. His infectious laughter and gift for making others smile were some of his greatest qualities.

David is survived by his son, Mark Schenk (Ashley), and his daughter, Melinda Meyer (Colby), along with his six grandchildren: Nick, Jackson, Maria, Cruz, Mikayla, and Maxton. He is also survived by his brother, John DeMarco (Vicki), sister-in-law, Rita DeMarco, and his nieces and nephews: Dave (Liz and Eliana), Tom, Sylvia (Thomas), Anthony (Yael), and Andrew. David was preceded in death by his brother, Michael DeMarco; his niece, Erin DeMarco; and his parents, George Schenk and Sylvia & Adolph DeMarco. He leaves behind many cherished friends and extended family members, all of whom were touched by his joyful approach to life and will carry on his adventurous spirit.

David's legacy is one of laughter and adventure. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as his memory rides the wind, bringing smiles to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
