DAVID J. WRIGHT

David J. Wright, at the age of 81, passed peacefully August 13, 2024 at Aultman Hospital. He was born on October 8, 1942 in Canton, Ohio, to the late Ruby and Donald Wright.

David was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force, serving during the Vietnam era. He retired from the Timken Company and the Perry Township Fire Department, where he served as a volunteer firefighter. Until his death, he volunteered at Habitat for Humanity, was an active member of the YMCA, and Reedurban Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Wright.

He was full of life and laughter and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to many.

Those who are left to cherish his memory; his wife of 62 years, Barbara Wright; daughters, Joanne (Andy), Julie (Kenny); son, Jim (Beth); grandchildren, Terra (Mike), Kristen (Nate), Mikey (Kaitlyn), David, Daniel (Chelsea), Devin, and Hope (Kyle); nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Becky Seefong and Helen Starr.

Family and friends are welcome for visitation, Monday, August 19, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Lamiell Funeral Home, 1353 Cleveland Ave., NW, Canton, with a Last Alarm Service beginning at 7:45 PM and Tuesday, August 20, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Reedurban Presbyterian Church, 1145 Perry Dr., NW, Canton. The service will follow at 11:00 AM at the church. Interment will be held at North Canton Cemetery, 7846 Pittsburg Ave., NW, N. Canton, where Military Honors will be presented.
