November 11, 1960 — April 25, 2022

Dawn Renae Piero (Henley) ceased her earthly suffering and went to Heaven on April 25, 2022 at home surrounded by her loved ones in Canton Township, Ohio at the age of 61. Dawn is survived by her: husband Jeffrey, children Geoffrey, Viktor, Conrad, brother-in-law Todd (Wendy) Piero, daughter- in-laws Maria, Torie, and soon to be Patton, mother Faye Henley, and siblings Chuck (Ame), Karl (Sheila), and Melissa Henley. Dawn was born on November 11, 1960 in Cook County, Illinois She graduated from Hoover High School in 1979. She married Jeff, a fellow education major at Kent State Stark in 1984. After attaining their B.A. from Kent State. The two of them began working for the Canton City Schools as a substitute teachers,tutors,and home instructors over a thirteen year period,as well as working weekends as live-in-assistants for Sifferin Residential. As the couple welcomed their children into their lives, Dawn set aside her career for what she always called," the best job in the world," raising her sons. Dawn set about teaching them to read, write, and to learn math, before going to Kindergarten. Her children remember her as a driven mother who encouraged and drove them to pursue, succeed, and master their goals. Dawn's dedication to her husband was beyond all comprehention supporting him through all of his degrees and tribulations. She was not afaid to go behind him and contact others to watch over and help protect him. Her undieing devotion to their marrage is an example to everyone who knew her. Dawn was accomplished at home repair and loved mastering new tools and renovating her 1912 "uniqe fixer-upper" and was not afraid to take down walls. She was a generous and dedicated individual who loved her community and who was passionate about being involved with her childrens school activities' which included soccer, band, track, cross country, and art exhibits. She was never too busy for her boys. At Dawn's request, no funeral or memorial service will be scheduled. The family would like to thank the staff of professionals, caregivers, and staff at Aultman hospital, Aultcare, Aultman Hospice, and University Hospital Medical Center/Seidman Cancer Center for their compassion, efforts, care, and dedication.
