Dolores “Dody” Walpole completed her journey on earth, March 5, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born February 29, 1928 in Canton, Ohio, she dedicated her life to caring for others – both as a devoted nurse and as the heart of her family.

Throughout her 98 years of gracing this earth, she wore many hats – daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, care giver, friend, and mentor. She experienced the joys of raising a family, pursuing a career, and adapting to new technologies. Her nursing career spanned decades, during which she touched countless lives with her compassion and gentle spirit. At home, she was a steadfast source of love, wisdom, and encouragement, always putting the needs of others before her own. The stories she shared carried wisdom, humor, and a deep appreciation for life’s simple blessings.

Her laughter was the kind that filled a room – it was cheerful, effortless, and wonderfully contagious. It carried through family gatherings, quiet conversations, and even the most ordinary moments, turning them into memories that felt brighter and lighter. That laughter was more than just a sound; it was a reflection of her joy, her kindness, and the way she made people feel at ease simply by being herself. Though she is no longer with us, the echo of her laughter lives on in the stories we tell and the smiles it still brings to our faces.

She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie (Danny) Gregory, Patti (John) Proach; sons, Daniel (Ruthanne) Walpole, Douglas Walpole; grandchildren, Johnny (Lindsey) Proach, Kristen (Vince) Tenaglia, Evan (Kayla) Proach, Megan Gregory, Jessica (Dale) Giffey, and Katelyn (Alex) Sarrouh; great-grandchildren, Rocco and Rudy Tenaglia, Luna Proach, Luke and Henry Giffey.
