Donald Herbert Machan

Donald Herbert Machan, age 93, died Monday after a long illness. Born in Beach City, he had lived in Canton and Florida, 1942 graduate of Beach City High School, retired from Hercules Engines, lifetime member of Moose Lodge #233 and American Legion Post 44 and World War II Navy veteran. He loved the McKinley Bulldogs, Cleveland Browns and Indians and was an avid golf fan. Survived by his wife, Jill Machan, five children, Donnie, Grant M., Sarah E., William L. and Diann L., son-in-law, Chuck Shoenfelt and special friend, Rick Hinton. Special thanks to Dr. Baum and staff at Bethany Nursing Home especially Christine and Crossroads Hospice. Services were private with Military Honors.
