Donna Irene Goodman

Donna Irene Goodman, age 86, entered into rest October 29th, 2021. Born March 14th, 1935, she is the daughter to the late Jack Wesley Turk and Mable Waitz Turk. Donna is survived by her husband of 68 years, Francis Joseph Goodman, age 90, of Avon Lake Ohio, her son Keith Goodman (Karol) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, her daughter-in-law Betty Goodman of Mansfield, Ohio, grandchildren Hollie (Brady), Carrie, Bryan (Melissa) and Michael (Lauren) and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her parents, brother Richard Turk of Reynoldsville, PA and her oldest son Neal Joseph Goodman of Mansfield Ohio. Donna graduated in 1953 from Oil City High School in PA. While raising Neal and Keith, she attended Ohio State University and graduated in 1970 with a BS in Education. She started teaching in January, 1971 in the Crestline, Ohio Catholic School. In the fall of 1971, she taught in Bellville, Ohio at the elementary school for 5 years. She then went on and graduated from Ohio State University in 1973 with a Master's Degree in Education. In 1976, Donna taught elementary school at Amherst Exempted Village School System in Amherst, Ohio. She retired in 1996 after teaching there for 20 years. Donna was a long time member of the Eastern Star Day Chapter 479. She was very active and loved to travel, play card games, go on picnics and loved spending time with her family and friends. At Donna's request, there will be no viewing or service.
