Doris M. (Silverthorn) Rich, age 85, died Thursday. Born in Louisville, She had lived in Canton most of her life. Doris was a 1949 graduate of Timken Vocational High School and a member of Christ the Servant Parish. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and enjoyed garage sales. Preceded in death by her husband, Amerigo Rich (2006), twin sister, Dolores Vaughn and brothers, Pat, Jack, and Tom Silverthorn. Survived by daughters, Kathleen and Deborah Rich, sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Barbara (Monnot) Rich and John "Jack" and Janice (McCourt) Rich, grandchildren, Scott (Tiffany) Von Alman, Amanda, Anthony (Ashley), Aaron (Cara) and Adam Rich, Alex Rich, and Garrett and Joseph Rich-Miller, five great-grandchildren, Matthew, Levi and Emma Von Alman, Cesidio and Luke Rich, sisters, Barbara Vinas and Linda Tucker and brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Jane Silverthorn, Larry Silverthorn, and Sandy Silverthorn. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Christ the Servant Parish with Monsignor Lewis Gaetano as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the YMCA of Central Stark County.
