Dorothy “Eloise” Crimaldi

Dorothy "Eloise" Crimaldi, age 93, died Tuesday, August 8, 2017 just two days shy of her 94th birthday. Born in Philippi, West Virginia, she had lived in North Canton most of her life. Eloise (as she preferred) was a graduate of Greensburg High School and was retired from the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation. She was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church (North Canton), Saint Paul's Altar Society, AARP #2894 and had done volunteer work in her retirement. She enjoyed being with her new friends she made while residing at The Landing on Hills & Dales Road, going out to lunch at different restaurants with her dear friend Ellen and visits from another close friend Debbie. Preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Anthony Crimaldi, son, Thomas Allan Crimaldi and brother, Charles Moore. Survived by her daughter, Marsha Marshman of Florida, granddaughter, Carla of Tennessee, and niece Juanita Swafford of Tennessee. Friends may call Friday from 9-10:15 a.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Saint Paul Catholic Church (North Canton) with Monsignor James Clarke as celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery (Akron). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
