Dorothy J. (Robinson) Horgas, went to her heavenly home with Jesus on February 1, 2019. She was born and spent her life in Canton and was a graduate of Timken Vocational High School Class of 1948. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in North Canton. She was a former member and past president of Gamma Epsilon Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, a charter member of the Hall of Fame Chapter of America Business Women's Association. She served as president was the 1977 Chapter Women of the Year. She was a 30-year member Daughters of the American Revolution. Dorothy worked as a Public Relations Director of Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital at the time of her retirement after which she worked part-time for the Cooperative Extension Service and The Timken Company. Preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Horgas in 1988; parents, Della (Johnson) and Floyd Robinson; infant brother, Floyd Thomas Robinson and sisters Donna Barber of Pennsylvania and Maxine (Mickey) Baker of Florida. Survived by her loving daughter, Jeannie Starosto Smyth; granddaughter, Jennifer (Woody) Zook; grandson, Bryan (Candie) Starosto; precious great-grandchildren, Emily Zook, Jake Starosto and Kate Starosto; several nieces and nephews and her very special niece, Polly Cranwell of Morris Plains, NJ. A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, February 22, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church in North Canton with Reverend Donald Richards officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 1720 Schneider Rd NW, North Canton, Ohio 44720 and the Wounded Warrior Project.
