PLAIN TOWNSHIP - Dorothy Helen (Kertes) Kline was born on November 23, 1924. She died peacefully at home on Monday, November 8th surrounded by family. She fought a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Lawrence Vernon Kline Sr, parents, Joseph and Kathryn Kertes, and five brothers and six sisters.
Her family was the love of her life, and after the early death of her husband, she traveled near and far to support those she loved; watching tractor pulls, sporting events, choir concerts and academic honors. She relished in caring for her grandchildren, baking, gardening and her Saturday afternoon hair appointments.
She was strong, feisty and full of life. She taught her family how to be resilient, generous and loving. She was a life long member of Little Flower Catholic Parish. She found comfort and courage in her Catholic faith.
She is survived by her five children, Lawrence Vernon Kline Jr. (Diane), Katherine Kline Hasapis (Jeffery), Theresa Young (Don), Victor Kline (Akino) and Tina Kline-Elsass (Ray Krepps); thirteen grandchildren: Stephanie Hasapis-Williamson (Donny), Michael Hasapis (Lacey), Angela Mackey, Don Young (Sarah), Michelle Young (Scott), Laura Bevington (Eric), Louise Battershell (Andrew), L.V. Kline, Arielle Elsass, Eian Elsass (Ashley), Averie Elsass, Chad Kline, Curtis Kline (Paige), and Heather Kline (Matt); and nineteen great grandchildren: Gabrielle, Lainey, Brooks, Colette, Larry Lee, Lily, Noah, Hallie, Carmen, Clayton, Victoria, Paisley, Case, Kendall, Knox, Ellery, Nautia, Hudson, and Colton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church with Very Rev. Canon Christopher Henyk, D. Min. as celebrant. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Burial Park. Friends may call Sunday from 1-3 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Masks are recommended.
