DOROTHY JOANN KOTEMA

Dorothy JoAnn Kotema, of Louisville, Ohio, passed away at the age of 92. She was born in Canton, Ohio on January 28, 1932, to the late Frederick and Mary (Carrol) Berring. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Steve Kotema; son, John Kotema; daughter, Kathleen Schreck; three brothers; and three sisters.

Dorothy worked for Ohio Bell as an operator for 40 years and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Canton. She had a flair for cooking, enjoyed cook outs, traveling, and playing cards at the VFW. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother first and foremost. She embraced every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her memory will be cherished by those who survive; daughter, Kelly Burnett; sons, David and James Kotema; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Mary (Donald) Seevers; and brother, Robert (Jeanne) Berring.

Services will take place privately. Lamiell Funeral Home was entrusted with Dorothy's care and privileged to assist the family during this tender time.
