Dorothy M. Meyers, age 94, died March 25, 2018 in Jacksonville, Florida. She had lived in Canton most of her life. Dorothy was a graduate of Saint John High School and Youngstown State University, had taught at Saint Thomas Aquinas High School and was former co-owner of the Donut Kettle. She was a member of the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sylvia and Wesley Patnaude of Jacksonville, Florida, granddaughter and her husband, Kiri and Marcel Iovu of Vergennes, Vermont, sisters, Irene Phillips of East Jordan, Michigan and Leonora Smith of Willowdale Lake and sisters-in-law, Alma Danner of Canton, Leonore Danner of Atlanta, Georgia and Betty Gillig in Akron. Preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Meyers, parents, Leo and Leona Danner and brothers, Joseph and Paul Danner. Family and friends will meet on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 10 a.m. at The Basilica of Saint John the Baptist for a Mass of Christian Burial with The Very Reverend John Sheridan, STL, Rector as celebrant. Private burial will be in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
