Duane A. Slutz

Duane A. Slutz, November 17, 1948 – July 27, 2022. He was a life resident of Canton, 1966 graduate of Timken Vocational High School and retired from the City of Canton Street Department as General Foreman after 33 years of service. Duane was considered a saint when his wife came down with cancer, He stayed by her until the very end. He had a huge heart and would help anyone in need. Preceded in death by his wife Cara (Hoffman) Slutz, daughter, Jennifer L. Slutz and son, Eric A Slutz, mother, Millie (Carl) St. Clair, father, P. James (Lois) Slutz, brothers, Kenneth J. Slutz and James W. Slutz, sisters, Marilynn J. Stamper and Sondra J. Motes and step-brothers, Jonny St. Clair and Dale St. Clair. Survived by his brothers, Jeff (Shelia) Slutz and Kevin L. Slutz, sister, Dorothy (Steve) Clarke, step-brothers, Ronnie (Judy) St. Clair and Danny (Gale) St. Clair, step-sister, Linda Walsh, 18 nieces and nephews, 23 great-nieces and nephews and four great-great-nieces and nephews. Friends may call Tuesday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saint Jude Children's Hospital.
