May 9, 1932 — April 11, 2023

EDNA M. STEFANAK

Edna M. Stefanak passed away peacefully the morning of April 11, 2023. Born May 9, 1932, in Lawrence County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Georgia (Pennington) O'Neal, who preceded her in death, together with her brother, Lt. Col. Don O'Neal, USAF (Ret).

A 1950 graduate of McKinley High School, she came to live in Canton in 1947. Previously, she was a member of Canton Baptist Temple and most recently of Freedom Baptist Church, as well as the Telephone Pioneers. She was an avid reader of MGM Golden Age of Cinema biographies and was a huge fan of Greg Norman "The Shark", Elvis, and Willie Nelson. Edna went above and beyond with her kindness and generosity toward others.

She is survived by nephews, Michael O'Neal (Shalini Latour) of Cincinnati and Patrick O'Neal (Maggie Urgo) of Arizona; great-niece, Drue O'Neal and great-nephew, Liam O'Neal.

A very warm thank you to Edna's loving caretakers, Barbara Alexander and Nancy Brown, whose smiles brightened her every day.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 11:00 am, Northlawn Cemetery, Canton.
