ELAINE R. EAKIN

Elaine R. Eakin of Cuyhoga Falls, Ohio, passed away, surrounded by her family on November 7, 2024, at the age of 85. She was born in Wadsworth, Ohio on May 15, 1939, to parents, Denver and Evelyn Crislip, who preceded her in death. Together with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Eakin; brothers, Duaine and Denver, Jr.; and grandson, Shane Michael Knopsnider.

Leaving many cherished memories, she is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Hobbs and Sarah (Shane) Knopsnider; son, Chuck (Joan) Eakin; grandchildren, Jennifer Eakin, Erin Knopsnider (Kyle), Erika and Emma Knopsnider, and Erik (Ashley) Knopsnider; great-granddaughter, Elysia Hughes; and sister, Patricia (Roger) Roberts.

A graduate of Wadsworth High School, she was a Girl Scout and Pioneer Leader. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, playing Dulcimer, and the magic of spending winters in Florida. More than anything else, her passion was being a homemaker. She found fulfillment creating a comfortable, supportive, and loving home for her family. Cooking had been a longtime love of Elaine's, and she wholeheartedly enjoyed preparing home cooked meals for her family.

In keeping with Elaine's wishes, there will be no visitation or service. She will be interred with her husband, Chuck, at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
