Elaine D. Leach

Elaine D. Leach, age 92, died Tuesday after a long illness. She was a life resident of Canton/North Canton, 1943 graduate of Mt. Marie Academy and retired from Stark County Department of Human Services. Elaine was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church (North Canton) and an avid Bridge player. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Leach, daughter, Irene Heinrich, son, Timothy J. Leach, sisters, Vivian and Beverly and brother, Bernard. Survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert P. and Nancy Leach of Canton, David and Pam Leach of Raleigh, North Carolina and Richard and Laurie Leach of Hilton Head, South Carolina, son-in-law, Craig Heinrich of North Canton, 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and a sister, Marcella Zettler of Canton. Family and friends will meet on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Paul Catholic Church (North Canton) for a Mass of Christian Burial with Monsignor James Clarke as celebrant. Private burial will be in Saint Peter Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Saint Paul Catholic School Library Fund.
