ELIZABETH MAY "BETTY" FLOTT
   
  
Quietly in the morning of May 16, 2024. Elizabeth May "Betty" Flott, passed away peacefully, taking the hand God offered her. She was born and raised in Alliance, Ohio on October 20, 1929, to her parents, Frank and Bertha (Jewel) Helsel, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Samuel in 2010; grandson Adam Soltis; sisters, Christina Helsel, Charlotte Hively and Hazel Johnston; brothers, LaVern, Charlie, Earl "Red", and Olin Helsel.
   
  
Betty, as she was known to everyone, was a warmhearted person, who was always there when needed. She was a wonderful wife and an amazing mom, who always gave without asking for anything in return. She grew up in the Salvation Army and was a life-long supporter. She retired from Schwebel Baking Company after 13 years as the lead clerk at the Canton thrift store.
   
  
Betty leaves beautiful memories to her daughters, Trudy Dobransky, Dorethea Soltis, Lorraine (Michael) Hahn, and Carleeta (Richard) Soltis; son, Preston (Sharmalee) Flott; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
   
  
Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Lamiell Funeral Home, Canton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St, Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Canton. Interment will take place at 1:15 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, where Betty will be buried next to Samuel. A luncheon will be served at 2:15 PM in the Fannon Center at St Michael Church.
