Frank DeMarco Sr.
We are very sad to announce the passing of Frank DeMarco on August 22, 2018. Frank was born in Clarksburg, WV on October 1, 1921 to Louis and Barbara DeMarco, he lived in Canton until 2016 and is now was a resident of Cumming, GA. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Mary (Myers) on October 6, 2016, four brothers: Louis, Russell, Tony, John and one sister Isabella. Surviving is his son Frank (Susan), Grandchildren Kate (Jim) Gillum, Tony (Carla Cunha) DeMarco, Carrie (Ryan Campola) DeMarco and Courtney DeMarco as well as seven Great-Grandchildren.
Frank was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy. He attended Barber College in Akron and for many years had a shop at Coventry Plaza in Akron and then retired from the Downtowner Barber Shop in Canton after 50+ years in the business.
He was a member of the Canton Knights of Columbus, The Stark County Democratic Party and both he and Mary enjoyed their many hours of socializing and volunteering at St. George's Byzantine Catholic Cathedral in Canton. He especially loved his Saturday mornings preparing the candles for Sunday Mass.
There will be a Funeral Mass for both Mary and Frank on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018 at 10:00AM by the Very Reverend Ovidiu Marginean and interment at Warstler Cemetery will be immediately following.
