Freda Elliott

Freda Elliott, age 101, died May 9, 2018 after a short illness. Born November 5, 1916 and raised on a farm in Carroll County, Ohio, Freda graduated from Carrollton High School in 1934. She retired in 1979 from Ohio Bell after thirty-three years of service. She was the past President of the Telephone Pioneers, a member of Christ Presbyterian Church, and a member of Ohio Eastern Star, Carroll County chapter 315. She enjoyed bowling and golf and participated in various leagues including the Lady Niners Golf League until she was no longer physically able. She was also an avid bridge player. Freda loved life and filled every possible day with the companionship of family and friends. She will be dearly missed but is now in Heaven with the love of her life, Arthur Elliott. Freda is survived by two children, Peggy Hulit of Canton and Robert Elliott (Linda) of North Canton, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 10am in the Chapel at Christ Presbyterian Church. Friends may call on Thursday, May 24 from 9-10am at the church. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery in Carrollton, OH. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christ Presbyterian Church.
