Gail Ann Obermiller

Remembering with love, our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Gail Ann Obermiller, who passed away January 10, 2025, at the age of 84. She was born in Canton, Ohio on October 8, 1940, to her late parents, Leslie Turner and Dawn (Shocksnider) Buchtel. Also, preceding Gail in death was her husband, Richard Obermiller in 1996, and her stepfather, Paul Buchtel.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim (Brad) Sothard of Grove City; sons, Robert (Maria) Obermiller of Hartville, Ronald (Lori) Obermiller of North Canton; grandchildren, Michael, Stacy, Amanda, Seth, Ryan, and Brandon; and great-grandchildren, Lila, Macie, and Aurora.

Gail was a homemaker, always putting the needs of her family first. She always loved being there for them, whether it was lending a helping hand, sharing words of encouragement, or quiet, ongoing support. She was a cafeteria cook for several years at North Canton Jr. High school and a member of the North Canton Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Lamielll Funeral Home, 1353 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Canton, where the service for Gail will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2024, at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens, North Canton.
