Gerald (Jerry) A. Romary, II, age 77 of Canton, passed away in the comfort of his home on September 9, 2022, after a long illness. He graduated from Louisville High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Kent State University. He was employed in medical sales and marketing. Jerry was also a veteran of the Vietnam War. Jerry's best times were spent with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He loved watching sports, reading a good book, working in his yard and was always ready to go see a good movie (thank you Yvonne). Jerry was an avid golfer and enjoyed a competitive game of euchre and poker. He was a big fan of the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Guardians, and The Ohio State University. He now has a front row seat for all the teams he loved. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Carol (Cookie), their son, Chad, and their daughter, Danielle (Jerry) Herzog, along with their grandchildren, Alex, Brennan, and Coco Romary and JJ and Sam Herzog. He is also survived by his sisters, Suzanne (Joe) Moulin Harbert, Charlene (Mark) Michel, Yvonne (Pat) Willaman and his brother, Mark (Mary) Romary, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Lucille Romary and brothers Thomas and James. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 16, 2022, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Peter Catholic Church, 726 Cleveland Avenue N, W., Canton, with Very Rev. John Sheridan, STL officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Refuge of Hope and the American Diabetes Association. Our family is grateful to the nurses and aides at Crossroads Hospice for their loving care, kindness and concern.
