Gerri Burns

Gerri Burns, age 85, died Tuesday She was a life resident of Canton, retired from the Canton Municipal Court and the Stark County Board of Elections and a member of the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist and St. John's Guild. Preceded in death by her husband, Joe Burns, son Ted Burns, sister, Laurene Meilinger and two brothers, Ralph and Kenneth Boron. Survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Paula Burns, Tim and Kim Burns, Patrick and Andrea Burns of Canton and Patty Burns of Louisville, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist with The Very Reverend Ronald Klingler as celebrant. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Ted Burns to the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Renal Cancer Research, PO Box 931517, Cleveland, Ohio 44193-1655, Saint John Food Pantry or Saint John Cemetery Fund.
