Glen Dieringer

July 8, 1930 — July 25, 2017

Glen Dieringer went home on July 25, 2017. He was 87. He was born in Canton, Ohio, and was the son of Cecil and Gladys Dieringer. Glen was a graduate of Ohio University in 1958, received his Master's Degree from Kent State University in 1965, and was a Korean War Veteran. He spent 31 years in the Canton City School System as a school counselor and was past president of the Canton Professional Educators Association in 1967. He became an Eagle Scout in 1947. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Ruth Ann Dieringer. He is survived by his sons, Gregg (Leticia) Dieringer of Maryville, MO; Jeff (Elizabeth) Dieringer of Canton; his daughter, Robyn (Scott) Adams of Canton; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He also leaves behind his best friend and soul mate of many years, JoAnn Edmisten. Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. in the Lamiell Funeral Home with Mr. Richard Kidwell officiating Donations can be made to the Camp Tuscazoar Foundation at P.O. Box 308, Zoarville, Ohio 44656-0308.
