Gregory "Scott" Bernhardt

GREGORY SCOTT BERNHARDT

Gregory "Scott" Bernhardt, loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away January 9, 2023. He was 66. Born in Canton, Ohio on March 10, 1956, he was the son of the late Jack E. and Mary Lou (Harvey) Bernhardt, Sr.

He attended and graduated from Central Catholic High School and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from Ohio University, Athens, Ohio and in the past, had performed at the Player's Guild Theater in Canton and the Carousel Dinner Theater in Akron. He was Santa Claus for more than 40 years to many families and was well loved. Scott also greatly enjoyed playing poker.

Remembering the joy that Scott brought to all the lives he touched are those who survive; (Grace) Lynette Bernhardt, his wife of 40 years; daughter, Andrea (Brandon) Kennedy of Canton; son, Allen Bernhardt of Lisbon; granddaughter, Claire Bernhardt; sisters, Sister Karen Bernhardt, H.M. of Canton, Kathie Lambert of Florida; brother, Jack Bernhardt, Jr. (Lisa Napp) of North Carolina.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Lamiell Funeral Home, 1353 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Canton, where the service for Scott will begin immediately following visitation at 4:00 PM.
