Harry Baker Wagner, 87, of Canton went home to be with his beloved Savior on September 23, 2018. He was born in Leckrone, Pennsylvania on June 19, 1931 to the late Harry and Orpha Wagner . He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 37 years, Alyce Wagner.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Genevieve Baird, Harriet Duffield and Mary Koth. He is survived by his daughters, Dorothy (John) Martincic, Charlotte (Marco) Caponi and step-children, Daniel(Barbara)Collins, David(Lori) Collins, Elizabeth (Dennis) Taylor and Laura (Joseph) Leone. Harry celebrated life with his 21 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and countless nieces and nephews.
Harry was stationed at Fort Bragg in the 82nd Airborne from 1950-53. For 45 years, he was a union carpenter in Local 69 out of Canton. Harry enjoyed using his carpentry skills to create a variety of projects in his workshop. He owned and operated Arrow Ceramics with his wife, Alyce, for 27 years. Not one to sit idle, Harry often combined his boundless energy and servant's heart to help those in need. He was a devoted and loving father and husband. Harry was a devout disciple, who daily acknowledged Jesus Christ as the source his strength.
Friends may call Thursday from 1-2 p.m. at the House of Loreto followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m. with Father Nicholas Mancini as celebrant. Burial will be in Warstler Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the House of Loreto.
