HELEN M. BROWN

Helen M. Brown passed away peacefully at home in Massillon, Ohio, September 6, 2023, surrounded by family members. She was born in Canton, Ohio on October 18, 1936, to her late parents, Pete and Esther (Norcia) Housos.

Preceding Helen in death was her husband, Albert Brown; son, Michael Whitmer; great-grandson, Jamey Herron; and brother, Anthony Housos.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Michelle Bandurka; son, Jeff Whitmer; daughter-in-law, Debbie Whitmer; and sister-in-law, JoAnn Housos. She is loved and will be missed by her five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

For many years, she worked as a supervisor for the U.S. Postal Service. She was fun spirited and enjoyed gambling, bowling, and dancing. She loved all things girly, laughter and had a beautiful and captivating smile. She cared deeply for her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. Helen touched many lives and will be deeply missed.

All are welcome for visitation, Tuesday, September 12, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and Wednesday, September 13, 2023, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, Lamiell Funeral Home, 1353 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Canton. A Graveside Service will immediately follow Wednesday's visitation at Forest Hill Cemetery, Canton.
