Helen L. (Demaison) Harhager

Helen L. (deMaison) Harhager, age 99, died Wednesday after a brief illness. She was a life resident of Canton, 1936 graduate of McKinley High School and had worked for 18 years at State Farm Insurance until the age of 95. Helen was a member of Saint Peter Catholic Church, The Third Order of Mary and was an avid gardener. Preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Harhager and sisters, Dolores Dick, Virginia Watterson, Miriam Duerr, Marjorie Marsino and Jeanne Bircher. Survived by her daughters, Kathleen Harhager, Ann Marie (Art) Hershberger and Karen (Bill) Harhager-Belew, sons, Edward (Kathy) Harhager, Fr. John Harhager, SM and Mark "Mac" Harhager, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Saint Peter Catholic Church with her son, Fr. John Harhager, SM and Father Edward Beneleit as celebrants. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. After the burial a reception will follow at Willowdale Country Club, 610 Willowdale Avenue, N.W., North Canton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Saint Peter Catholic Church.
